I’m an Australian creative that calls Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast home. I love to explore, wine with my friends, and giggle with my family.

HOW I GOT STARTED

I began practicing Lettering and Calligraphy way back in September 2015. Two of my best friends were getting married, and knowing that I was a creative, they tasked me with writing on their Welcome board. An A-frame with ‘Welcome to our Wedding’ and a quote for the ceremony. Seeming simple enough and wanting to help, I jumped at the idea.

I thought like everyone else, that it would be easy, and it would be quick. It was neither, and I was shocked and in awe of the different styles and applications of Lettering.

What style do they want? What colours? What pen do I use? What if I make a mistake? What if they don’t like it? And what if it rains?!?!?!

I then spent the next 2 weeks learning, researching, practicing and gathering all the tools I needed (and didn’t need) to make this sign.

WHAT KEEPS ME GOING

Calligraphy and handlettering bespoke pieces for my clients isn’t just about making words “pretty”, it’s a vehicle to elevate our spoken and written words.  It’s a special way to add an extra bit of handmade love to your home, wedding and event. And it reminds us of the imperfections that make us human.

With technology taking over so much of our lives, I believe that we are seeking a natural hand in everything and a roughness that is relatable...
